In this video, we will show how to change your Pay Period frequency, thus creating a self-generated transitional pay period. To do so, navigate to the settings area, and click on the Payroll tab.
The first thing you will see is the drop down menu containing 4 available types of pay periods. In our example, we have a weekly pay period set starting on the 1st of June. We will now opt for the semi-monthly option with the first interval starting on the 1st, and the second on the 16th of every month.
This change will effectively generate a transitional pay period to bridge the gap between the two settings. The weekly groupings that were set up to this point will remain listed that way in the system, and after the 1st of the following month, the system will begin grouping timesheets on a semi-monthly basis.
