After creating an open shift and entering the shift start time, end time, date and position, followed by, optionally, department, you can choose to automatically assign it to available staff members. To do so, simply enable the “Automatically assign” check-box option. You can optionally also set the number of shifts you need assigned to different staff members. By default, you’ll create and assign one shift, but you can easily increase that number. Add any notes you wish to add to the shift and click “Create Shift” or “Publish”.
You can auto-schedule employees by setting an open shift (or shifts), and using repeating options to auto-schedule your staff.
As a result, the system finds eligible employees and fills the slots, based on available employees on that position. Both published and unpublished shifts can be assigned to employees by the “Auto-fill option”. If there are more open shifts than employees or if the positions, departments and locations do not exactly match the employees’ the system will deliver a warning message saying there are no available employees.
