The integration with QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) is pretty simple and the process of configuring and using it is straightforward. In order to set up this configuration properly, navigate to Settings and then click on the “Payroll” section, "Export Preferences" subsection. At the top of the page, you’ll see the “Export to…” label with a couple of options in the drop-down menu. Simply select QuickBooks Desktop, adjust the necessary parameters and click the Save button and the integration is configured.
When adjusting these parameters, please note that the field Company Name has to be filled with the company name from your QBD account.
Also, it is important to enter the Company creation time correctly. This is achieved in a following way:
- Log into your QBD account
- Go to File - Utilities - Export - Timer Lists and export the file.
- Open the exported file in a text editor (i.e. Notepad)
- Find the company creation time, copy the date in the epoch time and paste it to Company creation time field in Ximble.
If you are mapping your data to Pay Codes, please make sure that Pay Codes are enabled and setup in Ximble, before processing payroll.
Once you have this setting saved, you can export the payroll data from Ximble into the QuickBooks Desktop specific file format and import it into your QBD account. To do that, simply run the payroll report, and click on the “Export to QuickBooks Desktop” button to download the file.
