If your company is using both Ximble and ZenDesk, you can easily connect these two applications and allow your staff to clock in and out from Ximble using the ZenDesk widget. You’ll be able to see who is working or taking a break in real time, as well as create and assign shifts to employees directly from ZenDesk.
In order to set up this integration, you will have to log into ZenDesk. In ZenDesk click on the “Admin” icon on the left navigation bar and select the “Marketplace” option from the “Apps” sub-menu.
The system will take you the Apps Directory page where all you have to do is search for the “Ximble” app then install the widget. Once you have finished this step all of your employees will be able to see and use the Ximble widget immediately.
Using the Ximble widget
Once the widget is installed, you can log into it using your Ximble credentials. Depending on the modules you have subscribed to and the roles and permissions you have in Ximble, the widget may look different. Here we’ll show an account with an admin/manager role logged in with both Scheduling & Time Tracking modules enabled within Ximble.
Once you log in, you will be able to see three tabs on the widget:
- Who’s On
If your account has the “Time Tracking” module and you have the “View Timesheet Entries” permission then you will see this tab by default once you log in. Here you can see all the employees who are currently clocked in, their position, location and department. Those employees whose names are faded out are currently on a break.
If your “Scheduling” module is enabled, and you have the “Add/Edit Shifts” permission then the “Schedule” tab will look as shown below:
Here you’ll be able to find all shifts assigned to employees broken down for each employee by days for the current week, with the possibility to toggle between weeks.
When clicked on a specific shift you can easily edit the shift details, and by clicking the “Add a new shift” a popup will appear allowing you to create a new shift.
- Time Clock
This view is present for all users in the system, however some features within a widget may or may not be available depending on the module.
Here a user can easily clock in and out as well as switch between different activities. Also, users are also able to view their upcoming shifts.
Managers will have a settings option on each view represented as the cog icon in the upper right corner. Managers can configure the different data they wish to see using the Ximble widgets by filtering what positions, locations and departments they would like to see.
Note: This integration is available to users with advanced plan only.
